Ranununculus flowers may have an unusual name, but they are a  delicate, springtime flower with multi-layed petals, belonging to the Buttercup family.  They stand straight on tall stems and have a long vase life.  With layers of ruffled petals in a rainbow of hues, these flowers add a splash of color to any home.  A symbol of admiration and love, it is a popular wedding flower.  In Latin, Ranunculus means "little frog" as the bulbs flourish near bodies of water and grow naturally along streams.  Each flower has between 100 to 130 petals.
